Welcome to the sometimes painful, often preposterous, essentially playful world of the woman who brought you 'The Grass Was Always Browner' -- a tell-all memoir of my Sydney-based childhood, originally titled 'Dancing with Dingoes'. There's some dancing in it.

The corner of my view
I'm supposed to be writing memoir today, then puss sits in the sun and it makes her fur sizzle and I have to blog about it. Look at our puss! How white is her fur! The sun through the front window (pictured) draws her to the front room and the corner of my view. If I tried to work out the time spent on this mother cat alone I would be adding up a lot of numbers. Feeding is many times a day alone. But... then she goes and sits in the sun and compliments my view and it's all worth it. Funny to picture a member of the family at last (myself excluded).
